We have begun a Rhumba/ Guiro series where we will be recording various groups of top NYC artists from various parts of the carribbean doing their thing and then releasing multi-volume collections of these NYC gems. Again this is music that happens all the time in New York and represents a solid resting place for the diaspora that brought us Puntilla, The Afro-Cuban All Stars, Francisco Aguabella, Milton Cardona, Conjunto Cespedes, Celia Cruz, and Lázaro Ros. This music is seldom recorded and released, but very much deserves the attention and recognition as the world class world music that it is.
