Charlie Hart (Fix-a-Flat Music) brought to us singer Luis "Sambi" Becquet and "Del Boleros alla Rumba" on the 21st of February, 2010 for the first session in our series Afro Cuba alla New York. This was an all live session @ Relief Records NYC featuring some of New York's finest rumberos! current projects

We have begun a Rhumba/ Guiro series where we will be recording various groups of top NYC artists from various parts of the carribbean doing their thing and then releasing multi-volume collections of these NYC gems. Again this is music that happens all the time in New York and represents a solid resting place for the diaspora that brought us Puntilla, The Afro-Cuban All Stars, Francisco Aguabella, Milton Cardona, Conjunto Cespedes, Celia Cruz, and Lázaro Ros.

We continue to work on completing a project with the well known and respected musician and priest of Ocha, Felix Sanabria and family which brings to life the best of New York Afro-Cuban non-secular music, pure Orisha music. This is a beautiful project much anticipated in the drum and dance community of New York as it showcases this little exposed world of Afro-Cuban music and prayer that has been thriving for decades in New York, but hardly recorded and released. You can find samples samples of these recordings in our "current projects" section.
